真正珍而重之
1 逾越節以前，耶穌知道自己離世歸父的時候到了。祂一向愛世間屬自己的人，就愛他們到底。2 晚餐的時候，魔鬼已把出賣耶穌的意思放在加略人西門的兒子猶大心裏。3 耶穌知道父已把萬有交在祂手裏，且知道自己是從上帝出來的，又要回到上帝那裏去，4 就離席站起來，脫了衣服，拿一條手巾束腰，5 隨後把水倒在盆裏，開始洗門徒的腳，並用束腰的手巾擦乾。
12 耶穌洗完了他們的腳，就穿上衣服，又坐下，對他們說：「我為你們所做的，你們明白嗎？13 你們稱呼我老師，稱呼我主，你們說的不錯，我本來就是。14 我是你們的主，你們的老師，尚且洗你們的腳，你們也應當彼此洗腳。15 我給你們作了榜樣，為要你們照著我為你們所做的去做。16 我實實在在地告訴你們，僕人不大於主人；奉差的人也不大於差他的人。17 你們既知道這些事，若是去實行就有福了。(約翰福音十三1-5 、12-17．和修)
1 It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for Him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. 2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under His power, and that He had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so He got up from the meal, took off His outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around His waist. 5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash His disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around Him.
12 When He had finished washing their feet, He put on His clothes and returned to His place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” He asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. (John 13:1-5, 12-17. NIV)

分享：大家是否記得擁有的第一本聖經時的心情如何？
當我擁有人生第一本聖經時，當然是珍而重之，畢竟那是上帝的話語。每次讀聖經時都會小心翼翼地揭開，深怕會弄皺任何一頁，更莫說要我在上面寫上什麼，最後我情願把它放在安全的位置保存它。一天，我看見一位老牧師殘舊的聖經，我提意送他一本全新的，他卻說不需要，反正他總是喜愛這殘舊的，因為內裡充滿很多他寫下上帝給他的提醒，又有一些屬於他與上帝溝通的標記。那時我才明白，老牧者殘舊的聖經表達出真正的珍而重之。
這經歷提醒我：究竟我的信仰是像裝飾一般、還是能發揮它真正的功用呢? 耶穌， 是全地至高的主，祂卻願意為人洗腳，以此服侍他人。耶穌今天拯救我們，我們既然得了新的生命，就自然要效法耶穌，正如祂所說：「我是你們的主，你們的老師，尚且洗你們的腳，你們也應當彼此洗腳。」(參約翰福音十三14) 但願我們的信仰並不是活得像新簇簇的裝飾品一樣，而是效法耶穌，把彼此洗腳、服侍他人的信仰實踐出來！
反思：我們可以怎樣應用「彼此洗腳」的教導呢？
行動：為教會一位弟兄姊妹禱告，並在今個星期作出一個關愛行動。
