《祢的信實超越我們的軟弱》
8 你要記念耶穌基督乃是大衛的後裔，祂從死裏復活，正合乎我所傳的福音。9 我為這福音受苦難，甚至被捆綁，像犯人一樣。然而上帝的道卻不被捆綁。10 所以，我為選民凡事忍耐，叫他們也可以得著那在基督耶穌裏的救恩和永遠的榮耀。11 有可信的話說：我們若與基督同死，也必與他同活；12 我們若能忍耐，也必和祂一同作王。我們若不認祂，祂也必不認我們；13 我們縱然失信，祂仍是可信的，因為祂不能背乎自己。 (提摩太後書二8-13)
35 誰能使我們與基督的愛隔絕呢？難道是患難嗎？是困苦嗎？是逼迫嗎？是飢餓嗎？是赤身露體嗎？是危險嗎？是刀劍嗎？36 如經上所記：我們為祢的緣故終日被殺；人看我們如將宰的羊。37 然而，靠著愛我們的主，在這一切的事上已經得勝有餘了。38 因為我深信無論是死，是生，是天使，是掌權的，是有能的，是現在的事，是將來的事，39 是高處的，是低處的，是別的受造之物，都不能叫我們與神的愛隔絕；這愛是在我們的主基督耶穌裏的。(羅馬書八35-39)
8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. 11 Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with Him, we will also live with Him; 12 if we endure, we will also reign with Him. If we disown Him, He will also disown us; 13 if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot disown himself. (2 Timothy 2:8-13)
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:35-39)
